Alfred D'Alessandro studied on a Francois de Menil Fellowship at Columbia University's Graduate School of the Arts where he won a Louis B. Mayer prize for promising young screenwriters, There he studied under the legendary Frank Daniel, who mentored Milos Forman David Lynch, and Terrence Mallick. He is currently working on Dark Star High, a prequel to The B-Side of Paradise about growing up on Long Island in the 1960s.
