Autorenporträt
As a child I was mesmerized by books. I could not understand how authors could develop such a signi cant word count. Tens of thousands of words - where did they all come from? The idea of writing excited me, but the process was out of my reach. I suffered serious writers block until the age of thirty-two. But due to a physical illness, I only wrote for a few weeks until a muscle condition put my writing on hold. For the next ten-years all I could do was think about my writing. December 2007, that all changed, and for the next seven years I would write on and off, whenever my body had the strength. Writing has changed my life. It has given me an identity which allows for the writing process to be my main driving force. The magic that writing creates, gives me the energy to work hard and engage in an activity that is extremely rewarding. For me personally, it is not about wanting to write, it is more about needing to write. Writing offers me a sense of magic and power that I cannot nd anywhere else.
