His diverse life experiences - from growing up in the U.K. and South Florida, to professional milestones as an acclaimed investigative journalist, running a syndicated news service, and practicing law with a global footprint - all contribute to the richness of his narratives. His first book, A Gale Stronger Than Longing, met with favorable reviews and praise for his writing. Val's second novel, The Beautiful Rings of Saturn, promises to continue his tradition of insightful, intelligent writing. A dog-lover, Val resides in Columbia, S.C., with his wife, Sandra, and their dog, Daschle.
