Heather S. Cole is a writer and public historian. She spent more than a decade living in Norwood and researching the history of her adopted hometown. Cole earned her M.A. in American history from Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts, and this book is based on her thesis, Progressive Era Municipal Reform in Norwood, Massachusetts, 1900-1920.
