Born and raised in a bilingual home in Montreal, Canada, Avery's unique upbringing has given her a deep appreciation for the power of language and the beauty of diverse cultures co-existing.Growing up, she spent many summers in France and West Africa, experiences that have profoundly influenced her worldview and writing.
