Dr. Christie Rodgers is a passionate educator, innovator, and advocate with more than 27 years of experience across public, private, and parochial schools. She holds a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Memphis (1996), a Master of Education from Freed-Hardeman University (2007), an Educational Specialist degree with administrative licensure from Union University (2012), and a Doctorate in Education from Union University (2014). Her groundbreaking doctoral research explored the impact of augmented reality books on elementary students' reading motivation.A nationally recognized leader in teacher preparation and educational technology, Dr. Rodgers has taught at the collegiate level at Southwest Tennessee Community College, Union University, and Christian Brothers University. From 2021 to 2024, she served as Director of Clinical Experiences and Assistant Professor at Christian Brothers University, where she founded the Department of Clinical Experiences, tripled the university's school-district partnerships in under a year, launched an acclaimed Speaker Series, and spearheaded the development of innovative online and hybrid education programs.Dr. Rodgers has been a frequent contributor to Edutopia and other educational publications and the author of multiple articles and one book, with several new works in progress. In 2021, she represented Tennessee for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) before Congress, advocating for increased school funding, technology access, professional development, and student data privacy in a post-pandemic world.Deeply influenced by her grandmother, a legendary math educator in Shelby County Schools, Dr. Rodgers is driven by family, faith, and a calling to equip the next generation of teachers. She and her husband Todd have been married for 30 years, and they are the proud parents two grown children, Hunter and Eli. When not writing or teaching, Christie volunteers extensively with Hope Church's TV production ministry and creates promotional videos for her alma mater, Collierville High School's award-winning band and color guard.
