The Book of Oded, Chapter 2: A Story of Love in 17 Parts by Oded Kassirer Told through seventeen short reflections, each introduced by a photograph, The Book of Oded, Chapter 2 is a deeply personal and profoundly relatable true story about love in all its forms-love that comforts, love that tests us, and love that endures even when people are gone. Through moments that move between Tel Aviv and Los Angeles, joy and loss, laughter and silence, Oded Kassirer invites readers into an intimate journey of memory and self-discovery. Beginning as a one-man stage play, the story grew from performance into prose, capturing the same humor, vulnerability, and emotional truth that audiences once applauded. What begins with a phone call unfolds into a life-an exploration of coming out, connection, identity, and healing. At its core, the book is about what it means to love and be loved over time: through youth and change, through distance and grief, through moments that shape who we are. Both tender and universal, The Book of Oded speaks to anyone who has ever loved deeply, lost someone, or searched for meaning in the spaces between. Its combination of vivid storytelling and photography invites readers to pause and reflect, finding pieces of their own lives within Oded's. This memoir reminds us that even the most personal stories can belong to all of us-that behind every individual journey is the shared story of love itself.
