NANAKO HANADA is a bookseller in Tokyo. Her first book, The Bookshop Woman , was an unexpected global bestseller, and has since been adapted into a TV drama. The royalties allowed Nanako to open her own bookshop called Kani Books. Cat Anderson has won the Japanese Literature Publishing Project’s international translation competition and is the translator of The Curious Kitten at the Chibineko Kitchen by Yuta Takahashi and The Tsubaki Stationery Store by Ito Ogawa.
