Education is an important issue worldwide, but one that has been neglected by political actors in developing countries, particularly Chad, for over 40 years. Concerned with the integral development of Chad, I have approached this subject from the angle of awareness of the decadence of moral and ethical values, and violence in the Chadian school environment, focusing on the issue of ignorance, incivism, the absence of leadership from school heads and the current government's lack of interest in this sector so important to the consolidation of a nation's peace.Post-colonial education in Chad has caused Christian and Muslim Chadian intellectuals and politicians to lose their ability to give meaning to their lives based on their traditions. Many Chadian intellectuals today do not reason from their cultures. We propose to rethink Chadian education and the reform of the Chadian education system. We propose traditional education based on the values of my own Sar Madjingaye culture, such as respect for others and elders, and moral probity.
