In order to diversify interests, to meet their clients' needs and in an attempt to spread risks most of these financial institutions are slowly developing new products and new modes of conducting businesses. It is hoped that the initiated reforms will be given serious consideration rather than remain in the realm of an assemblage of hollow proposals in order to redeem the regulatory structure of the Kenyan financial system which is currently in some disarray.

Collins Odongo ist Rechtsanwalt am High Court of Kenya mit 12 Jahren Erfahrung, Dozent für Rechtswissenschaften und CPS-Finalist. Er hat einen Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) und einen Master of Laws (LL.M.) der Universität Nairobi mit Spezialisierung auf das Recht der öffentlichen Finanzen und Finanzdienstleistungen. Er ist als Dozent an der Mount Kenya University School of Law tätig.
