Pete grew up in rural Alabama, surrounded by the bustle of farm life and the steady flow of customers in his family's country store. Locals would gather, trade stories and paint vivid pictures of life, love and hardship. Those moments planted the seeds of storytelling long before he ever picked up a pen.After retiring from service, Pete chose not to slow down.
