Autorenporträt
George Lindbeck (1923-2018) was an American Lutheran theologian known for his ecumenical and postliberal thought. He taught at Yale Divinity School for more than four decades. He also served as a member of the Joint Commission between the Vatican and the Lutheran World Federation, and was a delegate observer to the Second Vatican Council. His publications included The Nature of Doctrine: Religion and Theology in a Postliberal Age and The Church in a Postliberal Age.
