Bliss Carman (1861-1929) was a Canadian poet and one of the prominent figures in the Confederation Poets group, which helped define Canadian literature in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Known for his lyrical verse, Carman's work often explored themes of nature, spirituality, and the beauty of the natural world. He was deeply influenced by the Romantic poets of the 19th century, as well as by the Canadian landscape. His most celebrated works include Songs from Vagabondia, co-written with Richard Hovey, and The Poets of the Future.
