Steven Hargreaves is a qualified Executive Coach and Mentor with extensive operational leadership experience as a director, having over the last 20 years worked across a range of sectors, leading, and transforming large scale, commercial, regulated healthcare, and charitable services across the UK. A professional background in Social Work and, more recently, has undertaken a national role, leading the Learning and Development function for a well-known UK charity with accountability for leadership development, wellbeing, coaching and mentoring, learning and improvement systems as well as organisational values and culture development programmes.Steven has been described as a pioneer in the 'freedom to speak up' movement, undertaking the role of Freedom to Speak Up Guardian for a national organisation. His work has focused on building more open, accessible, inclusive, fair, and safe ways and approaches for people to have their say, participate and meaningfully contribute, as well as supporting people to speak up when they have felt unable to do so, ensuring that they were safe and protected when they did.Steven established The Compassionate Leadership Company in 2020 to help organisations to enhance the performance, engagement, and wellbeing of their people through awakening and leveraging the power of compassion.
