This work focuses on the contribution of digital technology to the aesthetics of music video editing in Cameroon, with the aim of developing and demonstrating in concrete terms how digital technology impacts the aesthetics of music video editing. The assessment of the impact of digital technology on the aesthetics of music video editing is carried out using three approaches. Thus, the technological determinism developed by Andrew Feenberg, the film aesthetics of Jacques Aumont et al., and the aesthetic approach to editing according to Vincent Amiel constitute our theoretical framework. Methodologically, we proceed by viewing the clips to familiarise ourselves with their content in order to facilitate analysis, using works on editing to support our analysis, and conducting semi-structured interviews. A kind of balance between the choice of elements that digital technology brings to the aesthetics of editing and their use in a practical project highlights our assertion.
