Alkuin Schachenmayr, Ph.D. (1996), Theol.D. (2005), is a Catholic priest and Professor of Church History at the Pontifical Athenaeum Benedikt XVI in Heiligenkreuz, near Vienna. He has published widely on monastic and theater history.
