Following a successful career at Food Town Stores, Inc, later Food Lion, Hap Roberts opened his own CPA firm in 1983. A year later, he and his wife, Annette, founded Statewide Title, Inc. and through the years he served on numerous philanthropic boards as well as nineteen years on the corporate board of Ryans Family Steakhouses, Inc.In 2018, he was ready for a completely different challenge, and thus embarked on writing his memoirs.Hap followed "Everybody Was Happy" with "Mimosa," a memoir by his uncle, Ralph Roberts, that he shepherded to publication after finding more than a dozen different copies of Ralph's manuscript."The Cotton Broker's Son" is Hap's first novel.Hap and Annette live in Salisbury with their beloved dogs, Elke the German Shepherd and Lilli the Yorkie. Their daughter, Heather Brady, lives just a few doors down from her parents with her husband, Brad, and their children, Bell and Graham.
