Ann M. Ordway, JD, PhD, is the program director for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, an international, multidisciplinary professional organization dedicated to the resolution of family conflict.  She practiced family law in New Jersey, where she focused on high-conflict divorce and non-dissolution, custody matters, domestic violence, and child protective services cases.  Dr. Ordway has a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. As a lawyer/counselor hybrid, she continued to focus on working with families involved in conflict dynamics. Dr. Ordway facilitated anger management groups for a population mandated by the courts due to familial violence.  She has been a Mediator, a Child Advocate, and a Parenting Coordinator. Dr. Ordway has been a professor in graduate-level counselor education programs for more than 12 years. Her scholarship is focused on ethics and on increasing the preparedness of counselors taking on court-involved roles or being subpoenaed for court proceedings involving their clients. She has published and presented nationally and internationally on related topics.
