Autorenporträt
Alma Brabham Kent is a native of Louisiana and studied at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, to earn her B.S. degree in English Education. She has retired after thirty years of teaching high school English Language Arts and now spends her spare time reading anything that piques her interest and writing her own stories and poems. Inspired by the beauty, intelligence, and loyalty of the scarlet macaw (Ará Macao), she exhibits why they are an icon of the Amazon Rainforest in The Courtship of Pierre the Parrot.
