In the near-adjacent future, where synthetic intelligence dawns and a massive asteroid races toward our solar system, a clandestine Agency spy awakens on a sunlit beach in the southeastern United States-his memory erased, nanites flickering erratically within his veins. Join his gripping odyssey across Coffin Island, weaving through a vibrant tapestry of musicians, surfers, and secret agents, uncovering fragments of his identity and a spark of romance along the way. Yet, as he navigates this kaleidoscopic world, shadows of his past threaten to unravel the truths he seeks. Beneath the Oros system's nano-filaments and firmware, a digital domain of desolation beckons him to confront his deepest fears and reaffirm what matters most. Step into a lucid dreamscape where the line between human and algorithm blurs, and the quest for truth ignites a transcendent dance of mind and matter. The Cyberdelic Odyssey: Book I - Innocence is a spellbinding fusion of mystery, espionage, and self-discovery. Follow our hero's journey, where every step reveals not just who he was, but who he might become.
Autorenporträt
Before Comfort Creatures, there was Chris-a boy who grew into a man and never lost his childlike sense of awe and wonder. After studying language, literature, and philosophy at the University of South Carolina, he washed onto Folly Beach and began his journey. Working at Bert's Market and penning the first lines at Chico Feo granted him glimpses of his thesis. So, inspired by her healing waters and vibrant culture, he set out to craft a love letter to the Lowcountry. A decade later, he presents the first part of what was gleaned from "swimming in the same waters as the mystics and the madmen."
