Autorenporträt
Thomas Hettich was born and educated in Villingen and Furtwangen. He studied architecture and urban planning in Konstanz. He completed his civil service training (building construction and urban planning) at the State Building Administration (now Vermögen und Bau) in Rottweil. He has participated in numerous competitions of international standing and attended planner training courses in Karlsruhe. His entry into research and academic work stemmed from the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and music. He has focused on the structure of music, primarily jazz. His publications on the city of Villingen include a comparison of two fundamental geometries to demonstrate the intellectual foundations of Villingen. He has also published on nature, primarily addressing the question of what existed before the Big Bang and a constant that generates dark matter. His work includes fundamental reflections on spatial structure based on the proton particle and the implementation of Planck's number into scientific discourse.
