Stepping into the silence of the desert during Lent can bring a much-needed respite from the clamor and chaos of the world. Spending quiet moments with Jesus can bring healing and restoration, soothe concerns, and quiet the discontent that lies within us. This 40-day Lenten journey will help you progress from an outer life of doing, to an inner life of abiding with the Lord. Using the power of contemplative prayer, you will encounter the living Christ and begin to foster a deepening interior life, which can yield beautiful fruit in due season. The Sacred Pathways series considers the many ways our Lord brings us closer to himself. By reflecting on the liturgical seasons, our own particular calling, or our very humanity, we discover invitations to connect with God and celebrate the fullness of life.
