After struggling to find support as a new dad, Kevin Seldon launched The DILF (Dad I'd Like To... Friend) Podcast, which has since broken into Apple's Top Parenting Podcast charts across the globe, while hitting #6 on the US charts. He then launched a nonprofit network of leading fatherhood organizations, building one of the largest dad communities in the country. After hearing from dads around the world who were also struggling - both in their relationships and in their new role as a parent - he's now created a sanity-saving guide to improve the mental health of new dads. The DILF (Dad I'd Like To... Friend) Handbook is the modern playbook for new dads of every shape and form, focused on shattering the most dangerous myths of fatherhood - from "men have no interest in the upbringing of their children" to "you will feel an instant bond with your baby." Drawing on research, expert interviews and proven strategies, this practical parenting resource provides the tools needed to help dads to not simply survive, but thrive... all so they can better support their partners, their children and themselves.
Autorenporträt
KEVIN SELDON is a father, husband, and founder of a leading brand strategy consultancy within the social impact space. His clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies and award-winning artists to world-renowned nonprofits. However, after five years of struggling to fulfill a lifelong dream of starting a family, he was left a bit broken. So, when he and his wife finally found themselves expecting, he took an extended hiatus from the firm he founded to better support his growing family and bond with his newborn son. He expected the experience to be exhilarating yet exhausting, but was shocked at the lack of support available to dads who seemed to be completely excluded from parenting culture. In response to the isolation he felt, he created the celebrated parenting podcast, DILF (as in: Dad I'd Like To... FRIEND) - which that has since broken onto Apple's Top Parenting Podcast charts across the globe, while hitting #6 on the US charts. Kevin's work with DILF has been featured everywhere from People Magazine to The New York Times. What began as a simple forum to build a support network of dads Kevin would want to... friend, has evolved into a nonprofit called Dads Supporting Dads with one of the largest dad communities in the United States.Kevin resides in Los Angeles, CA with his beautiful wife and son, who taught him that the best things in life... are worth the wait.
