The game of dodgeball is an integral part of physical education and sports lessons and is included in the primary school curriculum for good reason. It requires agility, accuracy, endurance and speed. Ball games can serve various purposes, such as improving throwing or catching techniques or promoting orientation skills. To ensure that all children achieve the various goals during the game, all players should be actively and enthusiastically involved in the game. Applied to the game of dodgeball, this means that not only a few children are in possession of the ball, but that all children are part of the game, i.e. they participate in the game by independently catching and throwing the ball. This raises the question of whether children who already demonstrate a high level of ball skills also participate more in the game. This paper analyses a game of dodgeball. Its aim is to provide information about the pupils' participation in the game.
