Kate Dunn earned her M.A. in Sociology from Western University and Honours B.A. in Sociology (minor in Women's Studies) from McMaster University. She is currently a full-time Professor in Interdisciplinary Studies where she teaches a wide range of courses focused on social inequality, positive psychology, and gender. She is trained in Unified Mindfulness (UM), positive space, rainbow diversity, mental health first aid, and has just completed her Empowered Educator microcredential through eCampusOntario. She is also a proud Board Member of the Eva Rothwell Centre, an organization committed to empowering community members to maximize their potential and cultivate essential life skills. Having her first children's book published is especially close to her heart as her talented mum has beautifully illustrated it, making this journey even more meaningful. Kate lives in Toronto, Ontario with her husband, Kevin, and their dog, Harry (aka Mr. Freckles).
