This is because of lack of communication among traditional healers, scientists and unavailability of the literature in English. The preparation procedures of kushtas have always been a practical problem. The present book has been designed keeping in view the fact that students require greater depth of knowledge to tackle complex nature of calcination technology and with the self-effacing aim inthe direction of establishment of standard manufacturing procedures necessary for preparation of various kushtajat. All efforts have been made to make to make this book as informative as possible.

Dr. Mohd Tariq has completed his M.D in Ilmul Saidla (Unani Pharmacy) in 2013 from National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bangalore securing 80% marks. So far he has 23 published papers including 9 research articles, 4 international and 19 national papers for various indexed and peer reviewed journals. 10 papers are communicated for publication.
