I originally wrote this book for my teenaged children to prepare them for an adult life of cooking for themselves and others. I originally wrote this book for my teenaged children to prepare them for an adult life of cooking for themselves and others. Unfortunately, the cookbook wasn't finished until they were all flown from the coop. Now, with dozens of nieces, nephews and a couple of grandchildren, I write this book for them, the young-at-heart, and all kids everywhere. To young adults, this book will impart some cooking basics, and teach some of the basic science behind the process in cooking. Please be warned though, that there is humor written throughout the book, as my kids were always about laughter. So, if you are easily offended, you don't want to read this book! While there are some private jokes written into the book, this should not detract from the learning experience this book delivers, or the enjoyment you will have in cooking some of the recipes. Many of the recipes were developed with my children, or evolved from a trial-and-error cooking disaster! That's always the fun part, cooking with the kids, who will never judge your cooking harshly when they help you cook a meal. So, open the book, learn, laugh, cook, laugh, wash, rinse & repeat! LOL!
Autorenporträt
Christine L. Bair is an Inupiat-Eskimo, born in Barrow, Alaska. She has been a writer all of her adult life, and has had poems, short stories, and book reviews published under different names. Her passion has always been her children, and she has fostered over a dozen children over two decades. This book was written for them, with some private jokes written in for the children, but that will not detract from your enjoyment of this humorous and informative cookbook.
