This book highlights 'The Extent of Literary Works on Society Transformation' in referring to the case study of the Gahini Community in Kayonza District in Rwanda. The Gahini community has been considered as a literature research area due to its particular history since in Missionary periods in Africa, especially, in East Africa as well as in Rwanda. No literature, no society and literature is a mirror of society. "Literature industry is the main channel of 'Self-Examination of the community." (Author, N. Etienne). The research is based on a qualitative approach in data collection, analysis as well as presentation. Quantitative approach only used to present statistical data. Data obtained by interviews, academic observation and documentary review. Then, the study adopted a multiple-case study and content analysis used for data analysis.

Etienne Numviyumukiza known as (Author N. Etienne) is an East African Writer of Rwandese origin. He studied Language and Literature at Kampala University (KU). He is very interested in Reading and Writing and considers Literature to be the main channel of self examination of the community.
