In 1911, Persia was positioned at a crossroads in history when an American newcomer, W. Morgan Shuster, enters the region while the presence of Great Britian and Russia had long commandeered its politics. The "Eyes of the Arg: A Persian Saga" is a story about the predicaments, growth, and misfortunes of two families in Tabriz and Tehran whose paths in life were influenced by the mayhem of their time. Entwining fiction with historical fact, this story is set in a forgotten era worthy of investigation and understanding of desperate voices unheard.
