Kartchner Caverns State Park is a world wonder that is located in southeastern Arizona. Its discovery and development were made possible through the combined efforts of the cavers who discovered it, Randy Tufts and Gary Tenen, and the landowners, the Kartchners. Through their dedication and action of stewardship over the cave, millions have been able to enjoy the beauty that lies beneath the earth at the base of the Whetstone Mountains. While the story of Tufts and Tenen has been told, the Kartchners' has remained relatively unshared. The different perspectives of some of the Kartchners are related in this book. Included is an overview of the history and development of the caverns. Many previously unpublished photos are also contained in the book.
