This book - is a storm - carried by passion, pain, hope, and love. Marc Lin leads the reader into a world that wounds and heals in the very same breath. Autorenporträt
Marc Lin first saw the light of day on August 20 in the Swiss city of Biel, the younger of twin brothers, yet born with a soul that reached for greatness from the very beginning. Even as a child he recognized his calling: to write. For him, words were more than letters on a page, they were refuge, expression, hope, and, ultimately, destiny. As a boy he composed poems and plays that were performed at his school. He wrote with a fierce, unyielding passion, even when those around him dismissed his gift. His childhood was harsh, his youth marked by heavy blows of fate, yet he never broke. On the contrary, he kept writing, knowing that the act itself was his salvation. With the poetry collections "Just Words" and "Just Words 2", he shared his deepest thoughts, his longings, his battles. But it was his epic family saga "City in the Dark" that laid the foundation of his literary world, a work of passion, drama, and humanity. A novel so raw and true it did not merely touch the reader; it struck straight at the heart. Despite numerous setbacks, Marc Lin refused to be discouraged. With unwavering devotion he pursued his vocation, creating works that do more than tell stories, they touch souls. In every book he writes, his life is mirrored: its peaks and valleys, its pain and hope, and the tireless search for truth. Perhaps it is precisely this authenticity that makes "City in the Dark", "A recurring Night", and his other works so singular. Those fortunate enough to meet Marc Lin in person feel at once that he is no ordinary man. His depth and empathy, his hard, won wisdom and lived experience make him a gift to all who seek steadiness and meaning. He is one of those rare souls who grasp life at its essence, and share that understanding with others. Yet for all his gravity, he never lacks for humor; life, he says, needs light if it is to endure the shadows. To see the world through Marc Lins eyes is to see it with the heart. Step into his stories, let yourself be carried along by words that go beneath the skin, and begin a journey that could scarcely be more vivid, more alive, or more profoundly moving.
