Barbara loves to have fun and to make people laugh. She learned early on that laughter has a way of softening and healing the heart. Barbara has always had a burden for lost and hurting people, even when she was one of them herself. As far back as she can remember she has always enjoyed being in, or around, the water. Her favorite and best memories are of spending time swimming with her grandpa, Poppie. Her childhood dream was to be a mermaid. She loves to surprise others by showing up at the pool wearing her mermaid tail and sharing the story of Banina's adventures with both children and adults. Barbara is the founder and director of Back 2 Basics Ministry that reaches out to people, mostly teens, that have been abused, neglected, and rejected by the very people that should have been loving and protecting them. Barbara is an author, speaker, Certified Faith Based Counselor, and a friend to many.
