Gayle Naranjit was born in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and resides in South Florida. She is considered a native Floridian, as she has lived in South Florida for over 38 years. This is the first book of her Fireflies series. She hopes her books will be well-cherished and contribute to child development, particularly in the areas of language acquisition, cognitive development, and emotional development. Her aspiration is for this book to spark limitless imagination in its readers.
