Mary Boone (Author) Mary Boone grew up in rural Iowa. Prior to becoming an author, she reported and edited for several daily newspapers. Mary has written over 70 non-fiction books for young readers, including Pedal Pusher, School for Fish and Bugs for Breakfast.
