Giovanni Dosi has been Professor of Economics at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa, Italy) since 1998. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex and before joining Sant'Anna has been Director of the International Research Project on "Technological and Economic Dynamics" at the International Institute of Applied System Analysis (IIASA), Laxenburg (Austria) and Professor of Economics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". He is a member of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. He was awarded The Wiley TIM Distinguished Scholar Award by the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the American Academy of Management (2016) and the Penrose Prize of the European Academy of Management in 2022. Professor Dosi is an internationally leading scholar in several fields including the economics of innovation and technological change, industrial economics, evolutionary theory, economic growth and development, and organization studies.
