Autorenporträt
My mission is to remind us of who we are as Americans, of the founding principles of this great nation, and of the faith and virtues required in a people who mean to retain them. To this end, I spent two years compiling the words of the Founding Fathers and arranging them into narrative form. Like us, the Founders lived at a time when freedom of speech was threatened; when power-hungry tyrants sought to destroy their liberties; when property and the fruits of a man's labor were under siege; and when law was corrupted to serve the few rather than the many. Readers will be shocked at just how relevant their words are to our world today. I know I was.As I began developing The Founders' Speech Series, my background in writing and training on complex issues uniquely prepared me for the task. As I scoured through thousands of texts and hundreds of sources, I was often brought to tears by the power and truth in their words. I hope readers will feel the same impact-- and will be inspired to live out the founding faith and principles that made this wonderful country the last best hope of mankind.
