Barker is an award-winning writer, novelist, screenwriter, and essayist with degrees in Psychology and Media Study (concentration: interpretation) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His creative work explores the haunted intersections of memory, perception, and the lingering echoes of the past. A lifelong student of narrative design and the human mind, Jim has authored in-depth essays on storytelling craft, perception, and film theory that have been referenced in academic settings around the globe. Most recently, he's discovered a possible bridge between literary aesthetics, narratology, philosophy, and neuroscience that helped shape The Fourth House.
