Talbot Mundy was Born in London on April 23, 1879, under the pen name William Lancaster Gribbon, was a well-known British writer of adventure and historical fiction in the early 20th century. Growing up in India, where his father was a British army officer, Mundy was exposed to a variety of cultures and environments that had a significant impact on his writing. During his early years, Mundy was a member of both the British Secret Service and the British Army.
