Just off the shores of the Union's Southeastern most peninsula lies the tropical island of Maroonia. With its richness in history, culture, and natural resources the Maroonians have established a vibrant society unlike any other. Under the leadership of their first king Munsa Mandelay this young nation was able to rise from the ashes of multiple civil wars to rebuild and become a key player on the global stage. Not long after the dawning of the modern era, Maroonia would become home to several underworld fraternities such as The Magnificent Bastards, the Underground Society of Players, The Ras Maroons, The Last Knights, and the Peoples Syndicate. As these organizations looked to further their reach of operations, ambitions would lead to animosity resulting in a tangled web of conflicting interests. Treachery and violence would be a common occurrence amongst the families which would jeopardize the stability of the region until a controversial peace agreement was brokered by king Musa himself. For a time, at least an element of peace would exist between the families as these organizations would now operate with impunity under the agreement of a cease fire. But now, the king is dead and his son and heir Henrick Mandelay is getting set to take the throne. After a lifetime of preparation Henrick must now navigate the turbulent landscape of underworld politics as both internal and external forces threaten not only the status quo but the very peace and stability in which his father, the late king built his legacy. In the debut novel of the self proclaimed Ghetto Dumas comes a remarkable tale of power, love, and revolution. It promises an intriguing narrative that will have readers turning the pages with the provocation of thought and imagination
