Great things come in fours. Abbey and Olivia are sisters, often mistaken for twins, but born eleven months apart. Their family once owned the largest mill in Rock Hill, South Carolina, an idyllic Southern town rich in charm and tradition. Rachael is the new kid in town. Her father is a church pastor. Aliyah is raised in a house filled with love-despite its dirt floors. The four girls forge friendships in the magic of childhood. Later, as they reach adulthood, Abbey is loved by everyone but holds a secret that threatens to fracture the bond shared by the four friends. Olivia becomes a beauty queen-with a tendency toward addiction. Rachael is a singer who finds her voice through love, and Aliyah rises from poverty to financial success through her own drive and determination. As the four best friends continue to grow and find their unique voices, can they stand together in a changing world? Or will their differences tear them apart?
