Autorenporträt
Michelle de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka and emigrated to Australia as a teenager. She was educated in Melbourne and Paris. The Hamilton Case is the second of her seven novels. It won the 2004 Encore Award and was a finalist for the Frankfurt Literaturpreis. She lives in Sydney.
