Hilton M. Hudson II, M.D., F.A.C.S. is Chief of Cardio-thoracic Surgery, Franciscan Physician's Hospital; National Ambassador, American Heart Association. Cardiovascular disease affects African-Americans in disproportionate numbers, but the number of board-certified heart surgeons of color is less than 40 nationwide. While Dr. Hudson has treated patients from all walks of life, he takes a certain pride in helping those in minority and under-served communities. A native of IN, he was given a key to the city of Indianapolis and is the recipient of the Governor's 2008 Indiana Black Expo Award.
