Born on Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia, and raised in rural North Carolina, W J has always searched for his place only to find it among fiction in all its forms. As a natural-born troublemaker, a few kind teachers took an interest in him and the notebooks he filled instead of paying attention in class. Together, they typed and bound his work. They entered him into the young writer's conference at a local university and from there writing became a lifelong joy. In the decades since, his life has taken unpredictable turns, eventually bringing him back to that earliest of fantasies. Now, he makes them real, with a newfound determination to share the stories swimming inside his head with the world. As a husband and a father, W J's goal now is to commit his imagination to paper and to leave something behind when the universe decides his time has come.
