Some people don't dazzle-they reflect. They return us to ourselves, unedited and unflattering, and what we see can bless or burn.In The Human Mirror, short stories and short poems explore the hidden power people have to see each other, unvarnished and unflattering. Each tale and poem is a reflection: sometimes tender, sometimes cruel, always revealing. From the quiet market streets to shadowed rooms of desire, the nameless mirror observes, capturing reactions that range from devotion to denial. Readers will recognize themselves and others, their flaws, and their secrets, without ever being told.Absurd, lyrical, and sometimes unsettling, this collection blurs the line between myth and reality, presenting human nature stripped to its essential reflections.Who will you see when the mirror turns to you? The Human Mirror is for readers who love short stories, and poetry that linger long after the last page is closed.
Autorenporträt
S. Kona has long observed the quiet, loud, unfiltered or controlled reactions of people, transforming these insights into absurd stort stories and lyrical miniatures. She writes these stories and poems to explore the power of reflection and the subtle shadows of human nature. Initially, for herself, a private form of meditation, a way to work through what she observed and felt without judgment. Over time, she realized that these stories, once personal exercises in reflection, held a universal resonance. What was deeply intimate for her could speak to anyone willing to engage with it. . S. Kona lives in Germany and continues to observe the quiet miracles and small catastrophes of daily life.
