The story takes the reader on a journey through Ekaterina's eyes, as she navigates love, betrayal, identity, and survival. The book explores the contrast between immigrants and non-immigrants, freedom and fear, belonging and loneliness, and compassion and manipulation. Many of the characters people the reader will meet live between worlds, including immigrants struggling through Ekaterina's eyes, and many facing the universal human struggle of belonging completely.
