In a context marked by digital transformation, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the healthcare sector is becoming a major challenge for improving organisational efficiency. This study assesses the impact of AI on absenteeism and human resource management in public hospitals in CEMAC member countries. The central issue revolves around the following question: to what extent can AI help reduce absenteeism and improve the organisational performance of hospitals? An empirical survey was conducted among human resources managers using a questionnaire covering four variables: artificial intelligence, absenteeism, human resources management and organisational performance. Analysis of the data using AFC, AMOS and SPSS software reveals that the integration of AI would significantly reduce absenteeism, while strengthening organisational performance and optimising human resources management.
