Autorenporträt

Nishi Patel is a first-generation South Asian American raised by traditional Indian parents who migrated to the United States in the early 1970's. She resides in Texas with her husband and two daughters. When she is not writing or painting, Nishi enjoys time outdoors hiking and running, making memories with her family, and drinking a cup of coffee. The Inheritance of Grief is Nishi's first poetry book. She advocates for normalizing grief and hopes to help others with their complex experiences through her writing and artwork.
