Jayne Wesler grew up in central New Jersey a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean. After a brief stint at Rutgers University, she married young and had two children. After the kids were in school, she earned her bachelor's degree, then a master's degree at NYU, and worked as a psychotherapist and as a child study team member. Wanting to help her students in a more powerful way, she earned her Juris Doctor degree, worked for the county prosecutor (and got to attend an autopsy where she worked at the shoulder of the county medical examiner), clerked for a judge, then entered private practice as an attorney where she served students with special needs for two decades.Jayne met her second husband, Richard, in 1993. They've been married for thirty years, have raised a blended family, traveled the world, learned and practiced ballroom dancing, and become advanced scuba divers.Jayne left the full-time practice of law in 2019 and began publishing her books in 2020. Her initial published works were professional non-fiction. Once those were written, Jayne turned to writing fiction, something she always knew she'd do. Professors, employers, friends, and family alike have long remarked on her writing talent. Sometimes upon waking, Jayne finds herself in the middle of a story she's been writing in her sleep.These days, Jayne divides her time between Florida and Pennsylvania so she can spend time with the family members who live there.Always an avid reader, Jayne loves the work of John Sandford, Stephen King, Allison Leotta, Lee Child, Nora Roberts, and Maeve Binchy.
