David Michael Wieger's ability to create compelling characters has attracted collaborations with several leading actors, including Dustin Hoffman and Malcolm McDowell. As a screenwriter, David received a prestigious Sundance writing scholarship for "Ziggy." He has written screenplays for many of the major studios including: "Judy and John Carlo" "Frequent Flyer," "Faeries" (Sony) "Blackbeard & Grace" (Turner Films) "Hawaii Five-0" (co-written with W.Peter Iliff, Touchstone) and "Headcase" (Punch Productions, Newline.) David has seen his film "Wild America" produced (Warner Brothers) and recently finished "Major" a film about America's first sport's hero - Marshall "Major" Taylor. His plays: "Gentlemen's Club," "Dovetail," and "Cows and other American Heroes," have been produced to critical acclaim in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. David lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife, Caitlin, and his son, Zander.
