Autorenporträt
Jack Scherm was born in Ohio, where his childhood play in the outdoors sparked a vivid imagination. After his family moved to the Jersey Shore, Jack retained a deep love for country living. He traveled extensively by foot and bicycle, eventually fulfilling a lifelong dream of touring the U.S. on a motorcycle upon his retirement. In the late 1970s, he married and raised two sons. Bedtime stories led Jack to write his own tales, which his sons encouraged him to publish. This resulted in his first novel, The Kingdom of Mangonel, followed by the sequel, The Land Beyond the Kingdom.
